Colonial Beach Water Fest

Aug. 24-25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The Water Fest features a bounce house, water slide, sand and water games and contests, a story teller, strolling performers, and if you are lucky, you might even spot a real-live mermaid. Colonial Beach, Va. 804-224-8145.
