The 4th of July is a day filled with friends, family, food, reminders of our freedoms, and of course, fireworks.
To help you find the best place to enjoy your holiday, we’ve compiled a list of a few of this year’s fireworks displays that will be happening throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
July 4, 6pm, Silver Lake Park, Middletown, DE — 4th of July Fireworks, sponsored by the Town of Middletown, will be held on Monday, July 4, at dusk/dark. Food will be sold by non-profits.
No pets, no bikes, no skateboards, no alcohol, no open flames, no personal fireworks allowed.
The City of Wilmington extends a special thank you to everyone who attended the 2015 4th of July Celebration on the Wilmington Riverfront. It is your support at this and all the City-sponsored festivals and events make that make them a success.

July 4, 7-10pm at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor! Live music from the U.S. Navy Band Cruisers as they perform contemporary hits from the Inner Harbor Amphitheater at Pratt and Light streets. The fireworks show, choreographed to patriotic and contemporary music, begins at 9:30pm. The holiday fireworks can be viewed from several locations in downtown and the surrounding areas, including Federal Hill, Locust Point, Fell’s Point, Canton, and Harbor East.
July 4. Gates open 2pm, fireworks begin at 9:30pm, at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Artisan demonstrations,museum tours, Uncle Sam with his monkey “Django,” children’s games and crafts, live music, great food, moon bounce, balloon sculpture, and special performance by the Estonian Folk Dance Groups “Südameke” and “Kerrutajad” 4:30 and 6 pm. 800-654-4645.

July 4, 2016 Fairgrounds Park Hagerstown, Maryland 21740 Washington County – Western Maryland Opening ceremonies begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by entertainment at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. With 15,996 shells to be set off in just 30 minutes, this promises to be an action-packed show!

The event features regional and national entertainment beginning at noon on two stages of entertainment. Families from the surrounding region enjoy a day packed with rides, activities and entertainment. Dunk a Frederick celebrity or race a bath tub down Culler Lake – there is a little something for everyone.

July 4, 10 pm – Showcasing patriotism and important moments in our nation’s history, the Wawa Welcome America July 4th Fireworks will take revelers on a 240-year journey from July 4, 1776 to July 4, 2016. Accompanied by a powerful soundtrack that combines rousing musical works and powerful quotes, this fireworks display will light up the skies over the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art for the grandest of grand finales starting around 10 p.m.
July 4. There’s a parade, live music, kid’s activities, a BBQ Cook-Off, craft beer and Virginia wine, and a fireworks finale as Harrisonburg, VA, marks Independence Day. There’s also an art market, local food trucks, craft vendors, and theater performances to enjoy.
Everyone is invited to the Virginia Peninsula’s biggest Independence Day party: Fourth of July Stars in the Sky at Victory Landing Park. This waterside park, which offers spectacular views of the James River, is filled with 20,000 people who come to celebrate our nation’s birthday. The evening begins as crowds gather to enjoy summer’s favorite foods from a variety of vendors. As dusk approaches, the stage comes alive with music. As the last note from the concert ends, the sky over the James River explodes with a kaleidoscope of color in a spectacular fireworks show. Victory Landing Park is located at Exit 6/26th St. from I-664, just minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and all Newport News attractions.
Leave the grilling to us on the 4th of July and bring your family and friends down to Town Point Park from 5pm-10pm! Guests can feast on traditional All American Fare, including hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, seafood, buttered corn on the cob, juicy watermelon, lemonade… with all the fixin’s and much more! Relax on the lawn and enjoy the sound of live entertainment along the beautiful Downtown Norfolk, Virginia Waterfront. Then, watch as the sky lights up with the fireworks display at approximately 9:30pm!
Washington DC is a spectacular place to celebrate July 4th! The National Mall, with Washington DC’s monuments and the U.S. Capitol in the background, forms a beautiful and patriotic backdrop to America’s Independence Day celebrations. This is an all-day event in the nation’s capital, beginning with a parade along Constitution Avenue and ending with a spectacular display of fireworks over the Washington Monument.

July 1-4. A weekend of fun, food and activities for the entire family. Events include a car show, parade, pony rides, and fireworks – all FREE!
